Happy Parks and Recreation Month!

Don't you love that there's literally a week or month for everything? I do! It helps me find creative ways to share content with my followers and it just feels good having something to celebrate!

A new Nature Preserve recently opened in our city and we were invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony. We were super excited to go but, my morning meetings ran over and we missed it. Needless to say, the boys were disappointed. They were so excited to see someone use giant scissors lol.

To make it up to them, I promised ice cream and made sure we were able to spend the next day exploring the area. I'm glad we did! As usual, they loved making there way through the trail and coming up unique ways to entertain us. They also had the chance to play with a few other kids in the big open filed. That was probably the most exciting part of the day due to the isolation we are all dealing with this year.

I'm always happy when they're happy so I'd say the mission was accomplished.

If you'd like to hear more about our trip, check out my blog over at ihearthsv.com and be sure to add Dallas Fanning Nature Preserve to your list of places to visit when in Hunstville.
