Fall is approaching, and that means planning for new adventures with friends family that will get everyone out to enjoy the beautiful, changing leaves. While everyone has their one thing, or maybe two, they love about Fall, most everyone agrees it's the best season for camping!
So as you prepare for when, where, and how you'll camp, make sure to add RVing to the list. If it's your first time, we have you covered.
RVing
RVing is glamping on wheels, and if you don't love being one with nature while sleeping, it's the perfect way to find yourself outdoors and comfortable. But what if you're like me and don't own an RV? Maybe you're still like me and don't have 50k laying around to purchase one or don't have the monthly means to pay a note on a luxury vacation vehicle. If your family didn't pass one down and you don't know anyone that owns an RV, where does it leave you?
As more people live the #RVlife on social media, it may appear there's only one point of entry into this lifestyle, but it's not. For everyone that falls into the categories mentioned above, the solution is Outdoorsy.
What is Outdoorsy
"Outdoorsy is the largest and safest community-driven RV marketplace for renting RVs directly from local RV owners." I like to think of it as the Airbnb of RVs. Same concept, different product, and one that can afford so many more people an opportunity to experience #RVlife.
Benefits of renting
Well, I mentioned above that purchasing an RV is costly, and if I'm honest, not something many people may have ever have the extra money to buy. Does that they shouldn't be able to enjoy it? Absolutely not!
Renting from Outdoorsy allows RVing to be:
Accessible
Affordable
Inclusive
and enables families to think outside the box in terms of how they can vacation
How does it work?
It's very simple! After creating an account and setting up a profile, decide which type of recreational vehicle you want to rent. Outdoorsy offers various classes of RVs, camper vans, truck campers and even has an "other" category where you can find exciting things near you. If it's your first time driving an RV, I suggest going with a camper van or class C vehicle. Both are great options for easing into the drive while still getting a whole driveable campsite experience.
Once you find a vehicle that fits your needs, submit a reservation request and wait to hear back from the owner. I loved working with a local couple, and it came in handy after forgetting a few of our belongings upon returning the RV. Since they weren't far from home, I could link up and collect our things easily. If you don't find what you're looking for near you, don't be afraid to expand your search window. You may luck up and find the perfect RV a few miles outside of town, and they might even be willing to deliver!
